Boardsmill continued their winning streak in the Intermediate Hurling Championship Group 1 with a comprehensive win over Blackhall Gaels on Sunday. Martin Conway excelled in the first half for the 'Mill side with 5 excellent points. Stephen Gibbons got the first goal after being picked out by Jimmy Pratt who worked tirelessly throughout. Niall Weir had to be replaced with Fergal Flattery early in the first half after sustaining an ankle injury. Flattery having scored two goals in the junior championship on Friday continued his goal spree with another goal in this match.

Boardsmill's half back line remained strong throughout only allowing the Blackhall Gaels side 6 points in the first half and 3 in the second. The forwards made a lot of scores with the midfield pairing working very hard also. Second half was not as entertaining, but Boardsmill had pulled well away at that stage.
