Playing with the aid of a strong breeze Boardsmill, aided by three late points from Niall Durkan withstood a late Castletown rally to take the Meath U14 Division 6 championship crown at Pairc Tailteann.

After fifteen minutes in this encounter Boardsmill led 1-3 to 0-4 thanks to a Stevie Gibbons goal. The boys in blue took over for the remainder of the half and further goals from star man Durkan (2) and Gary Regan gave them a 4-4 to 0-7 half time lead. Castletown's Mark Kelly, JJ O'Dea and Richard Clarke kept them in the game with two points each.

Castletown got the perfect start to the second half when Paul Bellew netted in the opening minute and another goal from team captain Aaron Sheerin left them 2-7 to 4-5 in arrears after ten minutes.
